A story of yesterday! A long, long time ago, 1878 to be exact, a young man named Ilia Rabchev left his family in Bulgaria and went to France to study the secrets of wine making. Four years later, Ilia returned to the village of Byala Cherkva and founded the “Rabchev” wine cellar. Soon the “Rabchev” family cellar was becoming the largest producer of wines and spirits in the region.
Winery Hotel & Spa “Seven Generations” is situated 30 km Southwest from Ruse in the suburbs of Mechka village. At first time the area impresses with its virgin nature, breathtaking view to Danube River and our vineyards. The locality is famous for its rich cultural-historical inheritance, good conditions for hunting and fishing, just a perfect place for your family relaxation among nature.
Had a lovely evening enjoying a wonderful wine tasting with our family at Seven Generations! We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food that accompanied each wine and the generous portion sizes. The staff was very attentive and hospitable to us. Being able to easily speak in English to our server was a big plus! It was also a delight to chat with one of the owners. We hope to be back soon to see the completed renovations that were occurring at seven generations

Big thanks to the staff for the excellent job! We felt more than welcome and really enjoyed our stay. Situated in a lovely area by the river. We tasted different wines and loved all of them, excellent value! The food we chose was impressive, prepared with attention and served with smiles! I highly recommend paying a visit if the goal is to break out of the routine! Bulgaria does deserve more of these places. Respect to the owner and thanks for the gift.
